Hendrix Genetics Layers and Elanco Partner for US Seminars
In a fast-moving field such as the US egg industry, our customers are always looking for high quality technical information to get the best results from their flock. Our team recently held two technical seminars in collaboration with Elanco
The group consisted of representatives from 16 different companies in Indiana and Ohio. Combined, these companies are responsible for about 110 million layers every year.
Topics included “Understanding and Using Serological Results” by Dr. Keith Honegger (Elanco), “Current Layer Genetics” by Jeroen Visscher (Hendrix Genetics), and “Proper Management of Pullets and Layers Under Stressful Conditions” by Dr. Nestor Adriatico (Hendrix Genetics). The content was a good mixture of practical technical tips and a review of layer genetics. After the presentations, the attendees were able to ask questions and apply the information to their own operations. The feedback gathered was positive, with many participants appreciative of the educational content.
We plan to continue this series of technical seminars throughout the US to share our knowledge with management and staff within the egg industry.
